Holiday Bible Club 2010 – Noah’s Ark Poems

On Day 2 of HBC 2010 ‘The Forgotten Kingdom’ the children had to write a poem on Noah’s Ark. There are a number of good poems, but three in particular where chosen for an extra points prize. They are reproduced below:

Poem 1

“Here we go into the ark,
From a tiny mouse to a great white shark.
We all go in two by two,
All you can hear is roar, squawk and moo.
God commanded us to go to the boat,
We’re all praying the huge thing floats.
The sinful people though Noah was far,
Building such a large wooden craft.
The rain started to pour down,
It also came up from the ground.
God thought Noah’s family were good and pure,
And they stayed on the boat for a year.
God told Noah, “I’ll put a rainbow in the sky,
To show you I’ll keep my promise and no more will die”" – Lois, aged 11

Poem 2

“Rain falling,
Wind howling,
Rivers rising,
Waves crashing,
Ark bobbing” – Jamie, aged 9

Poem 3

“Noah, Noah, Noah, can you build a boat?
Noah, Noah, Noah, can you make it float?
Noah, Noah, you know you could
Noah, Noah, you know you should!” – Katie, aged 8
