Church around the World – 23.10.11

On Wednesday evening 2 November we welcome Robin Oake to speak on “A force to be reckoned with”. He was in the Metropolitan Police for 17 years and dealt with a lot of terrorist bomb threats and actual incidents during those years. He moved to Moss Side Manchester during a rough time for community relations. One day the police station was attacked by a gang and windows smashed. Some time later a gang leader became a christian and apologised for the window. Robin has many stories like this of God at work during his time in the police.
