03 December 2011 10:00 - 12:00, EvangelismA Force to be Reckoned With
Come and hear Former Chief Constable Robin Oake speak on the subject of 'Can a Man Forgive the terrorist who murdered his son?'
Forgiveness is at the centre of the Christian message, but it's often not as simple as people try to make it out to be. In real life, where people are hurt and broken, forgiving isn't easy. This is an unfortunately close reality to former Police Superintendent Robin Oake whose son, Stephen Oake (also a police officer) was brutally stabbed by a terrorist during a police raid.
Robin will be speaking on the topic of 'A Force to be Reckoned With'. Could it be possible for Robin to forgive the man who murdered his Son? With a relaxed atmosphere and a challenging question to be answered, this evening organised by Ebenezer Church and held at the Spar Building is going to be very interesting.
Robin Oake He was in the Metropolitan Police for 17 years before moving to Greater Manchester as a Superintendent, where he was promoted to Chief Constable at Police Head Quarters.
This event will be held at the Spar Building located at Lanelay Road, Talbot Green, Pontyclun, CF72 8XX. Parking is available directly in front of the building. A google map can be found here.
